Our

Story

Hil and Will met in April of 2023. On their first date Hil wore a black dress and white Air Force 1’s. Will remembers thinking she was too cool for him.

No one remembers what Will was wearing.

The date at Backbar went well and Hil said yes to a second date. Will chose the very romantic activity of axe throwing. Despite the slight serial killer vibes, Hil said yes to a third date…

No one remembers what the dates after that were, and frankly you are all probably bored of reading about our early dates now.

Since that time Hil and Will had some awesome adventures. Highlights include (in no particular order):

  • Will meeting Levi for the first time. Levi loving Will despite Will being told in advance that Levi would be scared of him

  • Will meeting Hil’s parents for dinner at Puritan and Company

  • Hil meeting Will’s parents in Faulkner Hospital after Will had a surprise emergency surgery (Obviously a super normal time to meet the parents…)

  • Our first long weekend trip together to Camden, Maine

  • Other trips (weekend and otherwise) to the Cape, Portsmouth, Maine, Vermont, Philadelphia, Saint Lucia, Florida, Martha’s Vineyard and the Catskills

  • Tearing it up on the dance floor at weddings in: North Carolina, Rochester, Detroit and Pittsburgh

  • Hil accidentally renting a 60 foot catamaran in Saint Lucia (with a crew of 4) for just the two of us

  • Will draining the battery on a rental car and having to wait for a jump in the pouring rain. (Don’t worry, we got ice cream while we waited so it wasn’t all bad)

  • Showing up to a ski weekend trip but booking the hotel for the wrong night.

  • Will’s triumphant survival after eating horseradish at his first Passover Seder.

  • Moving in together

  • Planting a garden - a life altering experience for Hil

  • Accidentally fostering some baby bunnies in our planters. The bunnies love our garden (maybe a bit too much…)

  • Watching clovers grow in the lawn (yes, seriously)

  • Getting engaged!

We can’t wait for more adventures to come!

Hil and Will would like to thank their families and friends for making this adventure possible (and also life’s small miracles - like Will checking his email)
